How often do you hear people say – “I do this because its my passion<\/span>“<\/strong>? I’m not even sure exactly what “a passion” is, Let me tell you a story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When I left school, I worked as a welder in the shipyards, I hated it. I moved to London and worked on building sites for a while, I hated it. I became a telecommunications engineer, I travelled the world and enjoyed what I did, but at the time, I had no vision that I was doing anyone any real good. <\/em>

I became a social worker, I loved it, but the stress levels didn’t love me back. I became a trainer, teaching people computer skills, I loved it. My boss sent me to a public speaking club, because he was too cheap to pay for a presentation skills course, something clicked<\/strong>. The round of applause I received after my first speech, made me realise, that this was something I wanted to do for the rest of my life.

Perhaps I went on a bit of an ego trip. I became a competitive speaker and have won nearly every recognised speaking contest in the UK. I loved the crowds, I loved the applause and as you can see from the photo above, I loved collecting the trophies.

But then something else happened, people recognised my success and my expertise and asked me to help them improve. Something else clicked<\/strong>. Seeing someone, who came to me with little skill, deliver a highly polished presentation was a real buzz. Getting feedback from people saying their conversion rates had gone up made me feel really proud.

Finally I had found something that I loved doing, which also made a difference to people. It wasn’t just the Public Speaking I enjoyed, Speaker Coaching gave me a massive sense of fulfilment and is now primary business. If that’s what a passion is, then “I do this because its my passion<\/span>“<\/strong><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I can provide Speaker Coaching to people at any level of expertise, from those who have a deep fear of Public Speaking, right through to those who are already experts but need that extra something to make them stand out from the crowd.

There is a standard programme which is suited to beginning and intermediate level speakers, and I offer bespoke programmes for the more advance Professional Speakers. I also offer short focussed coaching sessions to those who have a single purpose, like a wedding speech or a business presentation.

Everything I do is based around you, so even the standard programme will be tailored to your needs. This is real coaching and not a video programme. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are many facets to Public Speaking. Whether it be writing your speech, creating your slides or making the final presentation, I can offer you an existing solution, or design a bespoke programme that directly addresses your needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most clients opt for a bespoke coaching service as everyone’s needs differ. Speaker Coaching Programmes can last anywhere from a few weeks to a full year, or even longer, if you have an ongoing need. I can also offer short intense courses for groups or individuals who have a need to learn fast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
